Sam's Eurotrip

I’m really not sure how I forgot to mention this in my post about Munich. In the Olympic park, right downtown, there is a man-made stream that diverts water from the river and creates a channel through the park. At one part there is a standing wave where water exits a culvert and, most every day, you can find a group of a dozen or more guys and girls in their wetsuits and SURFING! The channel is only about 30 feet wide but they jump right in on the wave and ride it as long as they can, taking turns from one bank to the other. It was INCREDIBLE to watch – check out the photos and video below and enjoy!
