Last Night in Raleigh!

So, it's my last night in Raleigh and I feel that's reason enough to post a quick update. My bags are 90% packed and I have 8 more thank-you notes to write from graduation, but otherwise I am just about ready to go!

I've gotten quite a case of the nerves over the last day or so. It's not exactly nervousness, but definitely a certain apprehension about diving into an expedition like none other I've ever undertaken. It also doesn't help that I'm hoping beyond hope that my rail pass is delivered on time tomorrow morning by the UPS truck before I leave for the airport! I'm sure the details will work out, though, and above all, I'm downright excited about the trip.

Thanks to everyone who has put up with my preparations and intense need to plan out every detail, and especially so to Mom and Dad for supporting me in taking on this great opportunity.

I'm going to miss spending the beginning of summertime in Raleigh, but I know that I'll come back with a different perspective on life. For now, it's time to finish up packing (and probably to help Mom a bit more with her new Facebook account) and get a little rest, though I'm sure it'll be a light sleep filled with anticipation of flying out tomorrow!

Stay tuned for adventure!

Cheers,
Sam
